Alphacam is a leading CAD/CAM solution and widely used in the field of wood industry from simple to 5 axis production processes.

The ambitions of this software editor are very clear: To provide the users with a reliable, strong, and flexible solution in order to increase their productivity!

All Alphacam modules are made up of a easy interface in order to deliver a quick and confortable work. As pictured below, some kinds of tools for geometry are available.

AlphaCAM Essential

In addition to the integrated drawings functions, this version is made up of an interface to external CAD systems. DXF or DWG import is no big deal.

The manufacturing methods in this version are made for 2.5D processes, drilling and 3D engraving. The texts may be drawn with simple lines or “True Type” fonts. The position of the tools will be automatically adapted in 3 dimensions in order to make perfect corners or sides. The list of operations allows the user to redefine easily the sequence of a program with a few clicks only. The simulation may be displayed as a 2D solid or as a 3D animation.

Alphacam essential is the ideal version for 2D usual programming. 

AlphaCAM standard router

This version allows the manufacturing of structures covering walls, cabinet or door faces.

The link to other software is possible through DXF, DWG and IGES formats. The module offers functionalities regarding row cut and final cut as well as pockets management.

The result of the production may be visualized in solid visualization mode which allows an easy control even when using profiling tools.

Particular profiles may be applied on 2D contours with special tools in a totally automatic.

The multi-plan management of the standard version allows a 3D processing on all available plans.

The « spline » function allows the drawing « handmade » as well as the correction of existing contours. For an effective manufacturing, the splines are automatically transformed in a succession of tangential circles.

Thanks to the nesting module, the production upon big row parts happens with a minimal loss of material.

One of the main advantages of this version is the 3D standard module. This one allows the production of complex surfaces, directly drawn with the software. This function is very interesting on the field of lettering, engraving or decoration.

AlphaCAM Advanced

The advanced module of AlphaCAM delivers extraordinary performances in 2.5D, in free multi-plan manufacturing and advanced 3D functions allowing the driving of the 4th and the 5th axis.

Many particular functionalities are also available, such as the recognition of close contours, the automatic update of the route of the tool in case of modification of geometry...

The integration of this graphical module allows the quick creation of parts’ families without the use of any heavy formula’s sometimes necessary to find out the tangential point between two circles for instance. Thanks to a assembly macro, all the parts of a bloc will be updated during the change of a dimension.

Lots of 3D files are supported for importation. Moreover, when importing, the processing steps for manufacturing are automatically detected which allows a direct and quick processing step on those solid or volumes.

From this level on, AlphaCAM contents all the functionalities to simulate machines or tables. So it is possible to determine very early the capacity to produce specific parts (angles, collisions).
